Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death…those who live according to the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

Benefice Administrator Role – Advert is out

St John’s Church Hook Cleaner – Advert is out

If you know anyone who might be interested in either of our two our part-time jobs, please invite them to get in touch, email: jobapplications@whitewaterchurches.co.uk.
Administrator: is 20 hours each week over five mornings in the Church Office in St John’s Hook (core hours are 9-12noon), approximately £11 per hour.
Cleaner: church hall, church centre, hours to be mutually agreed but must include Wednesday afternoon/evening. 4 hours a week regular £10 per hour. Annual deep cleaning of hall in holiday periods. Additional hour during the week during the COVID-19 pandemic

Whitewater Church of England Primary School

All our local schools are working exceptionally hard for our community. Shona and Marion are Foundation Governors at Whitewater, and are deeply impressed with the care and hard work of the staff team throughout the coronavirus crisis. Nearly 40% of the children are back in school until the end of term, and having a wonderful time.

Annual Cream Tea – via Zoom - on Saturday 22nd Aug @ 3.30pm

Suggested Donation of £6.00 per table, (Money to Church funds). Come, make and enjoy; Set a table, have scones, Jam and Cream, a Cupcake to decorate; Organise a drink maybe a tipple of something nice; Join your friends and enjoy. More details to follow!

JUNCTION 5 – St John’s Church is Supporting Financially in 2020

Junction 5 are already receiving requests for help where folk are getting into debt. The charity thought that this might happen, but had not expected it so soon. Joyce explained the local situation in Hook on 14th June, and that the situation for some people is likely to deteriorate.  If you think that you can help in any way, please do get in touch with Joyce Baldock (01256 768114).

Foodbank shortages this week (9st July onwards): Tinned curry, chilli con carne; Tinned veg (not peas), Tinned potatoes and mash potato, Steamed pudding / packs of cakes, Tinned rice pudding and macaroni pudding, Tinned custard, Long life fruit juice, Small boxes of washing powder/Tablets, Ladies deodorant. Please place all donations in the food bin outside Life Church in Elms Road, Hook. Thank you. We currently DO NOT NEED (as we are well stocked): Baked beans, Cereal, Rice and pasta, Tinned tomatoes, Tomato soup, Milk, Lentils. Thank you for your continued support.
