There is one Lord, one faith one baptism. There is one God and Father of us all, AbsolutionMay the God of love bring us back to himself, CollectGod of all mercy, Bible ReadingsRevelation 19.6-106Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: ‘Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. 7Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.’ (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) 9Then the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.’ 10At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers and sisters who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For it is the Spirit of prophecy who bears testimony to Jesus.’ Gospel ReadingJohn 2.1-11

PrayersPrayers of IntercessionThe response to Lord of love is hear our prayer. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. Lord, you commanded us to love one another as I have loved you. God our Father, You reveal to us your love through Christ and through our brothers and sisters. Open our hearts so that we can welcome each other with our differences and live in forgiveness. Grant us to live united in one body, so that the gift that is each person comes to light. May all of us together be a reflection of the living Christ. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. Lord, we thank you for all those who serve you in a variety of ways. We are all different and we all have different gifts to offer. We pray for all ministers and lay people who lead us and teach us and all who serve with their various and different talents. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. Lord, we pray for all those involved with the roll out and delivery of the Covid vaccinations and for all health workers who are administering them. Sustain them with your love and give them the strength to carry on. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. We pray for all those in government who are dealing with the many situations caused by Corona virus. May they be guided by you and be given the vision to see their way through these current difficulties. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. Lord, we give you thanks for our families and friends and for all those who are supporting people at this time. Thank you that we can be there for each other in many different ways, using the many different gifts you gave us. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. We remember all those who are ill at this time: for those in hospital and at home and for all those convalescing, especially if they are missing the support and companionship of loved ones. We also pray for those suffering in other ways: those with mental health issues, money or work problems, the lonely and the grieving. Send your Holy Spirit upon them and surround them with your healing love. Lord of love: Hear our prayer. God of the one vineyard, you call us to abide in your love in all we do and say. Touched by your goodness, grant us to be a reflection of that love in our homes and workplaces. May we bridge rivalries and overcome tensions. Merciful Father, accept these prayers for the sake of your Son, The Lord's PrayerAs our Saviour taught us, so we pray, Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, HymnMake me a channel of your peace The PeaceWe are the body of Christ. In the one Spirit we were all baptised into one body. OffertoryPlease let us consider our calling to be the ‘light on the hill’ during this season of ongoing challenge and isolation for so many. Reflecting on Holy CommunionWe are not able to offer Communion in church at this renewed time of lockdown. However you may still like to take time to reflect on what it means to each of us that Jesus gave his own life that we might live life in freedom. 1 Corinthians 11: 23 - 2623For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,24and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’25In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’26For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. O God, whose beauty is beyond our imagining BlessingThe Lord Jesus Christ, And the blessing of God almighty the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Go in peace to love and serve the Lord.
