ROSIE TAKES TO THE SKIES…..! – Saturday 25th May 2019

Rosie Mandry is taking part in a Tandem Skydive on May 25th 2019 to raise money for a new venture which will reach out to many elderly and lonely people.  Rosie is opening a Christian Outreach Centre next to the Tea Room as part of the Fresh Expression which the Diocese is encouraging.  The jump will raise funds to help with much needed work on the TLC (True Living Centre). The jump is being organised by The Pink Place (the Cancer support group in Basingstoke) and the first £400 will go to support them and then any further monies will support her Fresh Expression project.

If you can support this crazy activity then donate to Rosie directly in the Tea Room, at the Benefice Office in Hook or online at https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers.rosiemandry1

Prayers for Today and the Coming Weeks

For thanksgiving: prayers for our new Hook Parish Council, and our Church teams

For prayer: us all as we seek to follow Jesus in 2019, and offer the gift of ourselves to him.

Those in need of prayer: John Clements, Michael, Linda, Nicky, Luke Mappley, Ashley, Nancy, Iris, Mary Jennings, Mary Watson, Robin Booth, Luke White.

Those who have recently died: Sidney Webster, Stanley Tiller.

Year’s Mind: 21st May – Brian Aynsley.

We love to pray for people who ask for prayer, but please do ask Marion first, so that we understand the situation, and we know that the person in need has given their permission to publish their name here.  We shall continue to pray for folks in our Years’ Mind for 2 years after their passing, and then request that their family confirm with us that you would like us to continue.  Thanks so much.
