Hook Royal British Legion

After many years of wonderful service to the men and women of Her Majesty's Forces the Hook branch of the Royal British Legion has closed.

At a short service in St Johns Hook on 31st October 2019 the Royal British Legion Standard for the Hook Branch was finally laid up. The Standard was handed to the Rector the Revd Marion de Quidt for the safe keeping at St Johns. The Standard will be placed on the wall near the altar and next to the memorial plaque to midshipman Mathews who was killed on the 2nd September 1914 when HMS Cressy was sunk.

Fortunately on either side of Hook village there are thriving British Legions Branches at Basingstoke and Hartley Wintney where those who wish to continue in their support of the Legion will be able to do so.
